I am currently working full-time as a Legal Studies and English teacher in a secondary school.

In 2020, I graduated from my Masters of Teaching course at Charles Darwin University.

I started this course in 2018.

I spent the previous 15 years in China, teaching English as a Second Language.

The first 3 years were at the Guangzhou Civil Aviation College, teaching students who were studying vocational courses related to the airline industry.

The next 12 years were working at Webi English, an English language training company with centres all over China. Here the students ranged from school-aged children whose parents wanted them to learn, through young professionals looking to improve their careers, up to grandparents who were studying for interest, to travel, or to help their grandchildren.

My main responsibilities included preparing and giving lessons to students of all levels of English. I also did some training for new employees as well as assisting them to settle in to the city.

I received numerous awards from Webi English for my professionalism, dedication and overall teaching ability.

 

Prior to this I completed my Bachelor of Laws degree with honours at Birmingham University (1998), and went on to complete my Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice (1999).

I also have a TEFL/TESOL certificate for teaching English.
